Ugandan Community Leaders
The new leadership of the Uganda community in Victoria took office after the elections held on February 25, 2023. The leadership term of office is two years.
The executive is led by Norman Katende as president with Dan Kisumbi as the vice president. The leadership is focused on working to see that the Ugandan community and well-wishers work together to advance their lives and well-being. Norman was the vice president to Dr Apollo Nsubuga-Kyobe, who passed on late last year, while Dan Kisumbi was a committee member.
“We are a small community, and we need each other. Working together to build each other with respect is going to be our focus going ahead. At the end of the day, we want a community that will support each other,” said the association president.
Dr Michael Muleme and Nicholas Ochom are the General Secretary and treasurer respectively, while Rachelle Mulindwa is the Publicity Secretary. Click here for a full profile about the new leaders.
